Video Production

video production  We produce a range of videos for business and we do so cost effectively. The photo on left shows us shooting video on an offshore oil/gas platform.

April 2015 and colleague John Krutop and I were in Brisbane for a two day two camera shoot (plus stills) on a sleep apnea device. We ended up producing 23 different training and promotional videos for this client. This example shows how the Oventus Clearway Device works.

Short Video Introduction project for an online client received this feedback:

“Great work. Easy to communicate with and final product was as requested and imagined. Would highly recommend”

Just before Christmas 2014 we shot some really big moves for an oil/gas company in Gippsland, Victoria. Here’s a small sample from that shoot.

November 2014 and I produced this Animoto style video for the Niddrie Health Club

October 2014 – and a real estate firm hired me to produce a video for them to sell a new housing development to Asian investors.

In September 2014 I shot and produced this tribute to a Spring morning in Melbourne.

In August 2014 I received this feedback from

Job Description: A professionally filmed clip that was done using two cameras – I need it brought together so that the two different angles can be used to keep the clip interesting. Camera 1 – captured the speaker and his on screen presentation (not audio). This should make up the bulk of the end video – as end viewers will want to see what he is presenting on screen

In July 2014 I produced this Kickstarter video for a client in Washington USA:

In August 2013 I produced six short videos with colleague John Krutop for Qenos, Australia’s only polyethylene producer. Here is the Technical Services video.

One of the latest types of videos we’re producing are animated text videos which are really eye-catching. And there are more examples here.

In January 2013 we produced an investor video for the giant Midlands Water Scheme being developed by Tasmanian Irrigation. This was distributed via DVD and USB sticks carrying the TI logo.

In 2012 we produced this earlier video for Tasmanian Irrigation for it to use as a fund raising tool with the government. We went from brief (in Tasmania) to script, shoot, edit and gain approval within one week. The client was very happy.

Also in 2012 we delivered another speedy project for CaroMel Ocean, a seafood business based out of Melbourne. The client needed video to show investors and he needed it in a hurry. We were briefed on the Monday, shot video in three states on the Tuesday – Thursday, edited it on the Friday and delivered the video on the Saturday on DVD as well as a version for the client’s BlackBerry phone. He was thrilled!

This video was produced mid 2012 for a cattle breeder in NSW – we are constructing his website for him with a number of videos on it.

Here’s a quick example of one type of video we’re producing for clients – dramatic and attention-grabbing and we have a range of templates for this type of video.

Here’s another quick look at the range of videos we produce.

Some of the recent projects have been:

  • 2010 Corporate restructure videos for the Melbourne Fire Brigade to inform staff about the changes.
  • Ongoing work in oil and gas fields in Bass Strait. Equipped with the three cards necessary for offshore work – MSIC, HUET and PSI.
  • Annual video shoot for the finalists in Australia’s Best Cars Awards with footage used for the presentation night as well as Video News Releases for the news media. 2011 was our 11th year carrying out this work for Australian Motoring Clubs. Here’s one recent category winner.

  • TVCs for The Salvation Army for a specific 2010 campaign. Here’s a short sample:

In 2009 we produced a very successful Video News Release for Connex on pram safety for railway stations (the day before a real accident happened). This VNR was viewed worldwide and received compliments from as far away as Mexico.

  • DVDs for the Australian National University and the Fenner School of Environment and Society on important research work in three states:

  • Salvage footage of the stranded coal carrier Pasha Bulker for the Australian Marine Oil Spill Centre and the Australian Maritime Safety Authority.

Unprecedented footage not gained by the media as we had unlimited access with our MSIC cards.

  • Interesting footage of that ship being freed. Note the furious oxy-acetylene cutting of cables going on at the stern as she heads out to sea from Nobby’s Beach, Newcastle.
  • Safety induction DVDs for Nabors Drilling International Limited with its Rig 175:

  • Interesting footage shot for Melbourne’s former rail operator Connex and used widely by news media when we distributed it in a Video News Release.

For Bluescope Steel we produced a remarkably powerful safety video on Key Steps for Loading & Unloading Trucks. Thousands of copies of this DVD have been used across Australasia and in Europe for training truck drivers.

We use Animoto to provide interesting and visually appealing treatments to some of our productions. This one involved the sports car winner at the 2008 Australia’s Best Cars Awards.
